Starting a new Project

The 'Project Properties' screen shows information about the application you are developing, such as it's name, the owner ID, and the ICON that will be displayed on the Palm Pilot.   It also shows the list of forms (which should be blank for a new project).   Fill in the following fields...

Project Properties screen
- Application Name:   Enter the 'name' you want to call your program.   (Testapp)

- Owner ID:   This is a 4 character code that identifies author of the application.   A unique ID can be obtained from Palm's web site if you plan to distribute your application, but for now just enter your initials and some other character (I use PMP!)

- About Info: Information in this field will be displayed on the Palm when the user selects the 'Help', 'About This App' option from the menu.

- Backup Bit:   Check this box if you want the app to be backed up to your PC when you hot-sync.

- 30 Day Trial:   Check this box if you want the app to be a 30 day trial.

Congratulations!   You have created a new application.   Select 'File' 'Save As' from the main toolbar and save your project.   You will be asked for a filename, so enter 'TestApp' as the filename
