Adding BarCode Scanning Capability

Data can be easily captured into fields in PDA Toolbox Applications through use of a barcode scanner.  This can be done using the PalmOS device by Symbol with a built-in barcode scanner, or a Handspring Visor with the Symbol BarCode module.

To allow activation of the scanner, add an action button to a Primary Database Form with the action 'Scan Data'

To scan a barcode, tap the field to be scanned in (to give it focus), then press the 'Scan Data' button that you added.   The laser scanner will be activated and will read a barcode into that field.
